About Haley Zelenka
Haley Zelenka opted to remain close to home while deciding where to attend college or university. She earned her undergraduate and law degrees in her native state of Mississippi. She earned a bachelor of science (B.S.) in English from Mississippi State University.
That offered a good basis for her postgraduate studies, since law students read and write a lot and need exceptional writing skills.
After graduating from Mississippi State University, Zelenka went on to study at the University of Mississippi to get her juris doctorate (J.D.) before commencing her legal profession.
It is difficult enough to pursue any job, much alone one as demanding as law, when one is healthy. Someone dealing with major health issues demands much more effort and commitment. Zelenka, on the other hand, has done just that.
Haley Zelenka's personal and professional commitment to offering help in the medical and healthcare industries stems from her own major and persistent medical challenges. She has confronted her issues head on and opted to utilize them to do something positive for her community.
In 2002, Zelenka was diagnosed with acromegaly, a disorder caused by a pituitary gland tumor.
Haley Zelenka's personal narrative of her health difficulties with acromegaly featured in Wayne Brown's book Alone in My Universe. In the book, which covers the accounts of many individuals who have been diagnosed with the condition, Zelenka reveals her own personal experience with the sickness. Many people have never heard of it, and there is minimal public awareness of it. Zelenka's book contributes to this transformation.
